Sectional vs. Direct Warping: Which One Does Your Mill Need?

What is Direct Warping?

Direct warping (also called beam warping) winds yarn directly from a creel onto a beam in a single pass. It is the fastest method and ideal for mills producing high volumes of monochrome or simple-patterned fabrics — such as denim, poplin, and industrial canvas.

What is Sectional Warping?

Sectional warping divides the warp into sections wound onto a drum first, then transferred to the beam. This allows for precise color sequencing, short warp lengths, and pattern flexibility — critical for saree, suiting, and technical textile production.

The ATP Sectional Pro supports up to 24 programmable sections with servo-driven precision, making it the choice for mills producing multi-color or complex patterned fabrics.
